Disclosure Policy

Housewives of Frederick County, LLC Disclosure Policy

With any website or blog, there are 2 options for compensating the owners of the site:

1. Charge a monthly fee to the user (for example: a subscription fee).

2. Use advertising (for example: TV or radio).

Option # 2 allows our readers to utilize our information free of charge.

We have opted to choose this option, meaning you will see advertising on our site.

Examples of what you will see are ads on the sidebar or affiliate links mentioned throughout some of our text.

Our disclosure policy is to show you as our readers our transparency with how we use advertising for compensation.

For us, being a valuable resource to our readers is our first and foremost goal.

It is extremely rewarding to us to write a blog post that will help our readers solve a problem.

Sometimes we will make money from our affiliate links or ads.

But oftentimes we do not make money.

Specifically, the following are ways we can possibly make money:

Affiliate Links

We can be compensated when a reader clicks on a link and buys a product.

However, there are many times when we are not compensated.

Campaigns and Sponsored Content

We occasionally partner up with brands to promote a product or service that we believe will be a good fit and a valuable resource to our readers.

We are compensated either with money or with free product by these brands and/or PR companies.

We always disclose when a post is sponsored and we always offer our honest opinions.

Referral Credits

There are times, for example with StitchFix, when we receive site referral credits when you, the reader sign-up or purchase a product or service.

Ads

If you see an ad on our sidebar or within a blog post, we are paid directly for these ads on our blog.

Any money we make from our blog is used to cover our expenses associated with the time we put into maintaining it, as well as contributing to our families’ incomes.

Most of the time, when you see links in our posts, they are some type of affiliate or referral links.

But oftentimes these links are links to related blog posts.

The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely ours.

Any claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

Lastly, we do participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
