This isn’t a list of everything happening in Frederick. It’s my short list of what stood out for November 5-8, 2026, so you can spend less time searching and more time actually doing something fun.

1. 🎄Christmas in Frederick Holiday Pop-Up Preview Night
📅 When: Thursday, November 5, 3:30–7pm or 7:30–11pm
📍 Where: RAK Brewing Co., 400 Sagner Ave., and True Standard Distilling, 10 N. Carroll St., Frederick, MD
💲 Cost: $45 per person; optional double-decker Christmas bus ride $25 per person🎄 Best for: Holiday outings with friends, festive date nights, Christmas decorations, and getting an early start on the season
Christmas is coming to Frederick a little early this year! RAK Brewing Co. and True Standard Distilling are teaming up for an exclusive preview night featuring TWO completely transformed Christmas-themed bars, twinkling lights, music, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Your ticket includes admission to both locations and one complimentary beverage at each, with the freedom to visit both during your selected time slot.
Want to make the evening even more festive? Add a ride aboard the Maryland Double-Decker Christmas Bus for an additional $25.
Only 150 tickets are available, and this event is for ages 21 and older.

2. 🛍️ Downtown Frederick First Saturday
📅 When: Saturday, November 7; individual business and activity hours vary
📍 Where: Downtown Frederick, MD
🛍️ Best for: Shopping local, exploring downtown, dining, and spending a fall Saturday in Frederick
Looking for an excuse to spend the day downtown? November’s First Saturday is a great opportunity to browse Frederick’s independent shops, grab a bite to eat, and see what’s new around town.
Stroll along Market and Patrick Streets, pop into your favorite boutiques, and discover a few new ones along the way. With the holidays just around the corner, it’s also a good time to start checking names off your gift list.

3. 🎁 A Very Merry Vine & Vendor Market
📅 When: Saturday, November 7, 11am–6pm
📍 Where: Links Bridge Vineyards, 8830 Old Links Bridge Rd., Thurmont, MD
🎁 Best for: Holiday shopping, handmade gifts, local artisans, live music, and a girls’ day out
If you love finding unique gifts while supporting local businesses, this one’s for you!
Dysfunctional Housewives is hosting a festive holiday market at Links Bridge Vineyards, featuring talented local artists and artisans, live music, delicious food, and plenty of seasonal cheer.
It’s a fun opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping and find something a little different from the usual big-box store gifts.

4.🎄Holiday Bazaar at Black Ankle Vineyards
📅 When: Saturday & Sunday, November 7–8, 11am–5pm
📍 Where: Black Ankle Vineyards, Mount Airy, MD
🎁 Best for: Holiday shopping, unique gifts, local makers, and a festive weekend outing
Black Ankle Vineyards is kicking off its fifth annual Holiday Bazaar, and this sounds like a lovely way to spend a November afternoon.
Browse a collection of vendors offering special finds and holiday gifts while enjoying the warm, festive atmosphere. It’s a chance to support small businesses and get some Christmas shopping done without the mall crowds.
Can’t make it this weekend? The bazaar also returns November 14–15.

5.🏛️ Monocacy Battlefield Double-Decker Bus Tour: The Battle That Saved Washington.
The tour requires a minimum of 15 tickets sold to operate.
📅 When: Sunday, November 8, 3:45–4:45pm
📍 Where: Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor Center, 5201 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD
💲 Cost: $35 per person
🏛️ Best for: Civil War history, local history buffs, guided tours, and discovering something new about Frederick County
Did you know that a Civil War battle fought right here in Frederick helped save Washington, D.C.?
Join a National Park Service guide for a one-hour double decker bus tour exploring the Battle of Monocacy, fought on July 9, 1864. You’ll learn how Union forces delayed the Confederate advance toward Washington and hear stories about the soldiers and local families caught in the middle.
It’s a fascinating opportunity to learn why this Frederick County battlefield played such an important role in American history.
