Board the train for a ride and spectacular view of the fireworks. Train departs at 8 PM from our station. We’ll ride to the end of the line, then return to a designated viewing area where we will get off of the train to watch the fireworks. Once the fireworks have concluded we will re-board the train for a short ride back to the station. Bring a flashlight and a blanket to sit on.

Adult: $22.00; Senior (55+): $21.00; Child (2-12): $20.00

Please note that this event is not handicap accessible.

We will operate rain or shine, but if the Walkersville Fireman’s Carnival folks have to reschedule due to the weather, we will reschedule as well. We will not refund your purchase, but we will gladly move your reservation to a future event of equal value! RAIN DATE: JULY 6th.

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display. Join the celebration! Fireworks will light up the sky above Marsh Mountain at Wisp Resort overlooking Deep Creek Lake on July 4th. The display is set to begin around 9:30 pm and is set off from the tubing hill at the Mountain Park. 

Prime viewing locations for the annual display include:

• Scenic overlook along Rt. 219
• Wisp Resort
• Lawn at Garrett College
• Boat on Deep Creek Lake, particularly McHenry Cove
• Local Businesses in McHenry

Rain date: July 5th. If there is inclement weather on July 4th, please check this page or tune in to local radio stations: 104.5 WKHJ, 92.3 WKTQ, 95.9 WKTZ, 1050 WMSG radio for live updates on the status of the fireworks.

Wisp Resort hosts a free Stage Wisp concert before the Fireworks display. Enjoy FREE live music from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm under the saddle tent on the front lawn at Wisp – don’t forget your blanket and lawn chairs! Hot eats and cool drinks will be available for purchase on the outdoor deck.

4. Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park

Beginning at approximately 9:30pm, event-goers can enjoy the fireworks illuminating the sky over Fairgrounds Park while relaxing on a blanket or lawn chair.  The fireworks are also visible from many areas throughout the city for those not able to be onsite.       

Please note, no food or drink vendors will be at this year’s event.  While attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and refreshments, everyone is reminded that no alcohol, tobacco products, or personal fireworks are permitted at in any city park at any time.  A complete list of park rules can be found on our website. 

5. Hagerstown Community College

Tickets are not required for this FREE concert.

Please note, the concert will be held on WEDNESDAY, July 3rd, 2024 at 8:00 PM inside the Hagerstown Community College Amphitheater. There is ample parking available on the Hagerstown Community College campus. The HCC Amphitheater offers approximately 400 “stadium style” seats and enough lawn seating to accommodate approximately 2,000 additional guests. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs and blankets for seating on the lawn (just in case the fixed seating reaches capacity).

Fireworks will be presented at approximately 10:00 PM.

Note: All seating is outdoors and uncovered. Please plan accordingly. In the event of inclement weather, the concert may be delayed.

6. Poolesville, Md
